Listen to a short audio sample of this didjeridu:
This is one of my favorite current hardwood didges. This piece of red Alder was collected off the beach here on the central Oregon coast. I think its long journey at sea before it washed ashore gave it some magic. The spalted colors and patterns in the grain are unlike anything I’ve seen before in Alder. The overall shape is perfect in my opinion. The chrysocolla inlays through the instrument have a nice contrast with the wood grain and color too. The chrysocolla was harvested by my brother Justus (we also play in Ruins of Ooah together). He mined the chrysocolla the old fashioned way with a pic axe and chisels in the mountains of Arizona. He gifted me some choice pieces and I incorporated them into this Didjeridu. This didge has strong backpressure, tons of volume and low end frequencies. Very responsive to percussive styles. I really enjoy playing this instrument. Custom Bag included..
