Primaltones is an artist-owned and family-operated event space located in Newport, Oregon. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, comfortable space to host quality events and live music in our small coastal community. We host 40+ live music events each year, along with a variety of other entertainment including comedy, theater, poetry, trivia nights, and movie nights.

Tyler Spencer and his wife, Alli, started Primaltones in 2021. Tyler is a professional musician and instrument maker who has been performing, teaching music, and building instruments for more than 30 years. Primaltones began as a didgeridoo gallery where Tyler sold his handmade instruments, performed concerts, and taught music lessons. In 2021, Tyler and his family decided to expand the space and reopen it as a venue, with the goal of bringing a variety of music, arts, and entertainment to the community.

We’re typically open Friday and Saturday but our hours can vary depending on the time of year and what events we have booked. Please check out our schedule or contact us for more details.
